Efforts Underway for Team New Zealand to Bring America’s Cup Back to Auckland

-

Team New Zealand is exploring the possibility of hosting the next America’s Cup in Auckland through confidential discussions aimed at forming a joint bid with support from both the public and private sectors. Just ten days after successfully defending the Cup in Barcelona, the team expressed optimism but acknowledged that securing an agreement remains uncertain.

“We are completely genuine in terms of if we can get this home, we will,” said CEO Grant Dalton in an exclusive interview with Stuff in Barcelona. The team is hopeful for a decision by Christmas, signaling their commitment to bring the prestigious event back to New Zealand.
