A winning day on the water ended in “an almighty bang” for Team New Zealand after a crane failure saw their multi-million dollar boat drop from a great height as it was lifted back on shore. The crew has worked overnight to assess the damage, but it was instantly clear a huge effort would be required to get the boat back on the water.
